Aluminum Heat Treatment

It is the metallurgical name of the process applied to improve the mechanical properties of the aluminum casting material. Piece average in sand casting
  • It comes out in 40-45 HB hardness.
  • The part comes out with an average hardness of 50-55 HB in permanent mold casting.
  • In injection molding, the part comes out with an average hardness of 60-65 HB.
In the heat treatment application, the part is brought to a hardness of 100-110 Br in line with the customer’s request. This improves strength and machinability. Heat treatment is not required for all cast aluminum parts, the place where it will be used and the function it will perform are very important.
